Pada umumnya bersifat ringan, pada beberapa keadaan dapat berakibat serius terutama pada benda asing yang bersifat asam atau basa. Diagnosis Klinis Benda asing/Corpus alienum konjungtiva bulbi/tarsal. Penegakan Diagnosis dari anamnesis dan pemeriksaan fisik Diagnosis banding Konjungtivitis Komplikasi Komplikasi tergantung pada jumlah, ukuran, dan jenis benda asing. Penatalaksanaan dan pengobatan Benda Asing di Mata Penatalaksanaannya adalah dengan mengeluarkan benda asing tersebut dari konjungtiva dengan cara Berikan tetes mata pantokain 2% sebanyak 1-2 tetes pada mata yang terkena benda asing. Gunakan kaca pembesar lup dalam pengangkatan benda asing. Angkat benda asing dengan menggunakan lidi kapas atau jarum suntik ukuran 23G. Arah pengambilan benda asing dilakukan dari tengah ke tepi. Oleskan lidi kapas yang dibubuhkan betadin pada tempat bekas benda asing. Kemudian, berikan antibiotik topikal salep atau tetes mata seperti kloramfenikol tetes mata, 1 gtt setiap 2 jam selama 2 hari. Konseling dan Edukasi Memberitahu pasien dan keluarga agar tidak menggosok matanya agar tidak memperberat lesi. Menggunakan alat/kacamata pelindung pada saat bekerja atau berkendara. Apabila keluhan bertambah berat setelah dilakukan tindakan, seperti mata bertambah merah, bengkak atau disertai dg penurunan visus segera kontrol kembali Kriteria Rujukan Bila terjadi penurunan visus.
